In Leonis, our student accomodation in Münster, you live in a perfect location: only a few minutes away from the city centre and the university. You are accommodated in one of 175 modernly equipped student apartments in a charming building. You can choose between a studio or a shared flat for two. If you are looking for something special with a view, rent one of our Attic Apartments. Sloping ceilings and large skylights create a particularly cosy atmosphere.

What's included

Common rooms for every occasion

No matter if you like to work out in our fitness room or use the quiet atmosphere of the study room for studying and working. You can do all of this at any time in the common rooms at Leonis. But the highlight of our student residence in Münster is The Dome. This room offers you a great view over the city. You can spend time here with other students in a sociable atmosphere. Whether after university, before a party or during the day on weekends, there is plenty of space and many comfortable seatings.

Fitness Room

In our fitness room you can work out after university or during a study break and switch off during training. You can use our treadmill, stepper and bicycle trainer as sports equipment. This way you can increase your fitness and don't even have to leave your dormitory. The training room is also ideal in winter, when it is cold outside and gets dark early and you don't want to go out for jogging or cycling. In addition, the fitness room in our student accomodation in Münster is also a good opportunity to meet other students and do sports together.

Study Room

In the Study Room you can meet students from the dormitory to study. Or you can go to there if you want a break from your apartment but want to study on your own. Here you can also help or motivate each other to learn, for example when preparing for an exam or writing homework. Learning together is more fun and you can also use the study room in the dormitory in Münster to meet with your study group from the university. 

Common Room

The Common Room is the place to rest and relax from everyday university life. Here, students have several seats available in a comfortable lounge atmosphere. Whether in the evening, on weekends or in bad weather; in the Common Room you will always meet nice people from the dormitory. You can also read a book here or have a cup of coffee or tea in peace. Activities around Leonis in Münster

Our student residence Leonis in Münster has a lot to offer in its surroundings. Within walking distance to your student apartment you will find everything you need for your everyday life: shopping, leisure activities, restaurants, cafés and much more.

Shopping

The student residence Leonis is very centrally located in Münster. Stops for public transport are located directly in front of the dormitory. From there you can not only get to the university quickly, but also to the city centre of Münster. The city centre offers great shopping opportunities, for example in the Ludgeristraße, in the Prinzipalmarkt or in the Münster Arkaden. There is a grocery store right next to the dormitory, so you can do your shopping on foot. You can also reach other shops for daily needs in the surrounding area on foot or by bicycle. Thus, you always have short distances from the dormitory, no matter if you want to go to the university or go shopping.

Activities

Münster is known as a particularly bicycle-friendly city and has a well-developed network of cycle paths. If you are new to Münster, you can easily explore the city and its surroundings by bike. The cultural and recreational offerings in the city of Münster are very diverse – from museums to theatres, music events and festivals to the annual city festival; in Münster it never gets boring. The city is also particularly popular with students and accordingly there are many leisure activities for young people. Münster also has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an all-weather zoo and a botanical garden. The Aasee lake is right next to the Leonis dormitory in Münster. There you can jog, go for a walk or enjoy the sunshine on the deckchair.

Restaurants & Bars

Münster is a student city with over 50,000 students. The majority of students attend the Westphalian Wilhelms University, which is located close to the city. This means that student life after university and on weekends takes place a lot in the restaurants, cafés and bars in the city centre. The so-called Kuhviertel, the pub mile in the old town of Münster, is popular with students. But there are also many restaurants and cafés in the so-called Josefsviertel, where the Leonis student residence in Münster is located, and in the surrounding Geist, Pluggendorf, Aaseestadt and Schützenhof districts.
